Protect National Monuments!

ACT NOW - Tell Congress: National Monuments must remain protected.

National Monuments are a critical designation to protect clean water on public lands.

Unfortunately, there are indications that some National Monuments may lose designation in this Congress. Some of the most at-risk National Monuments are the most important for our rivers and clean water. The loss of National Monuments not only threatens our clean water but further threatens the multi-billion dollar recreation economy and puts millions of acres of wildlife habitat and cultural landscapes in danger of being lost to industrial use and development.

Please join us in sending a message to Congress that our National Monuments must remain protected. Customize your message below!

What's at risk?

The National Monuments designation protects over 21,000 river miles and impacts over 2,000 watersheds. Downstream, over 13 million water users could be impacted by changes to the management of these public lands. While National Monuments are often located in remote places, they are often connected to the water supplies of major metropolitan areas, including Denver, Tucson, and Phoenix.

What can be done?

Take action now by telling Congress that our National Monuments must remain protected to over 21,000 river miles and ensure clean water for people and wildlife.
