Pledge to protect the iconic Colorado River

One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and one of the most famous landscapes on earth, the Grand Canyon is the heart of the Colorado River’s natural and cultural fabric.

The Colorado River provides drinking water to 40 million people, including some of the nation’s largest cities, as well as 30 federally recognized Tribes, including the Navajo, Ute, Havasupai, and many others. The Colorado irrigates nearly 6 million acres of ranch and farmland, including farms that grow 90 percent of the winter vegetables we eat. Feeding a $1.4 trillion regional economy, the river is the engine of a recreational economy that depends on a flowing river.

The future of the Colorado River depends on lasting solutions that balance water demands with the health of our natural environment and the protection of a shared national treasure — the Grand Canyon.

Pledge to stand strong for the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon.
