Tell the EPA: It's Time to Stop Runoff
A recent report released by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shows that approximately 55% of our rivers and streams are in poor biological condition. And polluted runoff is identified as one of the major sources of the pollution in our rivers and streams.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has the opportunity to take a big step forward reducing pollution and flooding by updating the way polluted runoff is managed across the country. Unfortunately, they've delayed action on theses updates for too long, so untreated pollution continues to run into our waters.
How Can You Help?
The EPA needs to stop dragging their feet and better manage this polluted runoff. Send a letter to EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy urging her to update these programs to protect our rivers and clean water.
